Netball Australia has developed a new program – the KNEE Program – designed to prevent (as much as possible) knee and ankle injuries.
“Knees and ankles are the most commonly injured body parts of netballers and most of these injuries occur when landing. In particular injury to one of the major stabilisers of the knee, the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), is a common problem, annually representing approximately 25% of serious injuries (Netball Australia National Insurance Data).
Knowing all too well the devastation created by serious knee injuries, Netball Australia’s KNEE Program is designed to prevent them occurring. Whether you are a coach to your child’s netball team, high performance coach, support staff or parent, this program is designed to keep your players on the court for longer and moving more efficiently when there. As an athlete this program aims to keep you playing the sport you love without being sidelined by injury” (Netball Australia)

Resources (such as the Manual and Guide) relevant for Kissing Point Players from 11-14 yrs to 15-17 yrs are also available to download from the Netball Australia website:

Players 15yrs+ http://knee.netball.com.au/recreational/
Each section also has an explanation of how the programs are to be run and video instructions for each exercise.
This is a great tool for all coaches.
